Stop reading reviews and just book the place already! We stayed in the brand new Fern Cabin which was a very modern and comfortable tiny house. We really enjoyed using the canoes, waterfront Adirondack chairs, grill, fire pit, and the herb garden too! Short drive to Old Forge and Big Moose. Owners and manager are very nice and accommodating. This is a beautiful place - great spot to relax and be one with the mountains.

The cabins are absolutely beautiful and immaculate. They come equipped with all you could need. The view is wonderful and I loved taking the canoe and kayaks on the lake. The only down side is that there isn't a ton of privacy. All of the cabins are close together and share a fire pit. On the bright side. .. we ended up meeting people from the same neighborhood that went to high school with family members. Overall, a very nice experience.

Stayed at the Fern Cabin for two nights. There was no one to greet us other than a note on the door indicating where the key is. Think of an over-sized shed with a screen porch attached to have a sense of the size. There's barely enough room to move let alone for luggage. The bathroom is tiny with a very small sink. This cabin is less than 8 feet away from the other cabin and you can hear your neighbors conversations easily. If your fortunate to have quiet neighbors you'll be hearing road noise especially trucks as the cabin is very close to RT 28. The beach is some small area for children to use. The room is way overpriced for what's provided. On the positive the lake is beautiful!! I imagine from the other reviews being so positive that they stayed in the larger rentals right on the lake away from Rt 28. I am posting this review for other non-suspecting vacationers so that they know exactly the accommodations they'll have if they book either of the "Fern" or "Fish" cabins.

Stayed in Fish cabin a few years ago and hope to return in August. Very cozy and has everything you need. They now have an enclosed front porch

White Lake Lodges is truly a special place unlike any other. My husband and I are so happy we discovered this treasure and just finished spending a weekend there. It is our 2nd yr. in a row and we plan on continuing this trip annually. Our little cabin of choice is Fern-fits 2 adults perfectly. Cute, cozy and clean with knotty pine interior, decorated beautifully because the owner has impeccable taste. We love the interior layout and pack smart knowing the cabin is designed uniquely to fit a bed, couch (which pulls out if you want to sleep additional ppl), chair, small fridge, microwave, nightstand, and a TV (which was new this year and a pleasant surprise). The bathroom is absolute adorable and I must repeat again CLEAN... full shower, sink and toilet. We met the owner Danielle and her family and we immediately felt like friends versus guests. She was so gracious and accommodating. For the fair price per night, you also get access to the beach, lakeside filled with beach chairs and an abundance of kayaks and stand up paddle boards and more, FREE to use. Included in the cabin is your own propane grill which for us worked out great. We grilled on premise and also went out to dinner so that prevented us from solely dining out and spending more money for those that want to budget. Last but not least, we felt like children at heart and enjoyed the lawn games and played ladder ball, had a camp fire at night and next to the fire are plenty of s'mores sticks so you don't have to go searching in the woods. Just like that... we stopped searching for anywhere other than this in the ADK to stay and can't wait to return. Thank you Danielle and the staff at White Lake Lodges for keeping everything so very nice and for your gracious hospitality. Jill and DJ
